Changing the world one kids’ garden at a time!

Kids Growing City is a registered non-profit and our main mission is to teach next generation of the world how to grow their own food and empower them to be part of the local food solution to the global food systems problems.

At Kids’ Growing City we work with teachers and parents, online, to teach their students and children how to grow their own food. We also work with schools and school boards throughout the Greater Toronto Area to bring extra-curricular, in-school edible gardening programs to students and build successful and sustainable school gardens.

We believe in food justice, equality, sharing and community. We are strong supporters of a balanced and sustainable life, using appropriate technologies without destroying habitat. We are certain humans will achieve this in the very near future. And we know that it all starts with education.

Teacher training is at the core of our strategy. We train in person and online, through coaching and consultation programs. We turn your enthusiastic teachers into empoweredconfident school growers with skills to Design, write Curriculum and Plan for Edible Gardening programming and building school gardens.

Kids’ Growing City started its in-school journey with one gardening class in one private school and have made its way to more and more schools, private and public, throughout the GTA.

Kids’ Growing City started its online journey with coaching a few parent friends and have made its way to running online courses and memberships with 100s of parents, grandparents and teachers, paving the way to a changed world one kids’ garden at a time.
